WFMW - Vacationing While Never Leaving Home

We are blessed beyond measure here at the Diner.  We have a parents who love to spend time with the grandkids, so every spring break, we take them up to their place for the week and a half vacation.

It saves us a mint in childcare AND, more importantly, it allows our kids to have a chance to forge fantastic, recall-them-years-later memories with them.  Oh, and it allows Mr. Right and me an opportunity to date without having to wonder what to do with the kids.

It's a win-win for everyone.

So these next 10 days or so, we're going to vacation at home.  I want to go see the art museum and if the weather will cooperate, I'd love to have a leisurely stroll through the zoo.  The arboretum is spectacular this time of year and I haven't been bowling since last September... maybe we can get a group around here to go.  If it weren't for this whole "house selling" thing, I'd love to steal Mr. Right away for a bed and breakfast somewhere around our city.  We have lots of places that are within an hours drive in some beautiful country.  (That doesn't fit the "not leaving home" scenario, but it's close enough to still feel like home.)

What would you do around your neighborhood for a vacation?  I might just steal your idea for some fun around here too!

For some excellent tips on how to ease life for you, head to Shannon's place.

So what I'm trying to say is that
