Seriously, if you don't know about Locks of Love, it is a wonderful program that provides hair prosthetics for financially disadvantaged children with long-term medical hair loss. Here's how it works: someone with long hair who is going to cut it short (cutting off at least 9 inches) specifies that they want it donated to Locks of Love. (You will need to find a salon that participates in this program.) There is no cost involved to donate it, and often the hair stylist will throw in a free styling cut as a way of thanks.
